Description

We are very pleased to offer for sale this tidy Beneteau First 285. This yacht has a Volvo Penta 2002, 18hp inboard diesel engine and it is currently sitting in the water on site with us here, due for a lift out of the water (during March 2024).

This yacht will be a special buy for you as the owner has informed us that he has spent £25K on her in the last 3 years as he was intending to keep her for a further 5 years before buying his ‘forever’ boat upon retirement - the intention being to invest in advance for 5 years of no major jobs needing to be done in the meantime. Circumstances have since allowed the ‘forever’ boat plan to be brought forward and the owner has bought his forever boat already, so First Impulse is now on offer to a new owner who wants that same assurance of no likely major expenses in the medium to long term future.

We expect early interest in this boat so please don’t hesitate to call us or email us with any questions and to arrange your viewing. This boat is currently with us in our boat display area, out of the water. Viewings available with us 6 days a week (Sundays by appointment).

First Impulse has been fitted out to be very comfortable when staying aboard and is heavily ‘tweaked’ for fast and safe single-handed sailing.

Saloon Modifications

A previous owner fitted out the usually total waste of space saloon side walls with custom storage units; An incredibly useful mix of shelving, racks, cubby holes and cupboards, as shown in photos

The materials used all being ‘wipe clean’ so as a day of wet crew using the cabin for respite doesn’t mean wet seating for that night

Aft Cabin

This is currently used for storage on the underdeck ‘coffin’ side and arranged so it is easy to make an emergency single berth on the outer side when and as required

Original headlining has been stripped out and the entire inside surface cleaned up ready for new headlining or painting of the new owner’s preference to be carried out, or not, as/if they may prefer
