Dufour 32 Classic

This Dufour 32 Classic has had one owner from new, and it is out of the water, in our display ready for viewings. This one has a fin keel which provides a nicer sailing experience overall, where as many other 32’s have twin keels.

The owner of this boat has made lots and lots of lovely memories with Freebird and he has now made the sad decision to sell her after nearly 20 years. The vendor has this to say about his beloved yacht: 'We have sat in many French ports, over the years, telling each other that we’ve had so much joy out of Freebird, that she owes us nothing. We are looking for a sensible offer and a nice, loving new home for her'.

The boat is powered by the reliable Volvo Penta MD2020, 19hp, which the vendor has looked after himself for many years. In 2008 the vendor and his wife took Freebird to South Brittany where it remained for around 10 years, so they spent weeks and weeks every year enjoying cruising in the warmer climate, and to be able to do this with as little worry as possible, the vendor had to be able to maintain the engine himself.

The standing rigging is original and has been checked by the vendor at least once every season using his bosun’s chair. The vendor has told us that the running rigging has always been well-maintained and mouse lines run every winter.
